Veterinary assistants provide supportive services under the direction of the Veterinarian and RVT. They begin the examination procedure and continue to assist throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases. Assistants aid the veterinarians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work like preparing vaccines and blood panels as well as filling Rxs. They also have a very significant role in communicating with and educating clients about their pets.
